LEARN TO KNIT

Casting on

Depending on your yarn, you'll need to cast on 30-40 stitches for a kitten blanket and 40-50 stitches for a cat blanket. We recommend bulkier yarn if you're a beginner, as you won't need to knit as many rows and it hides mistakes.

Knitting a row

Feel free to experiment with different stitches for a creative and unique blanket. Stockinette stitch and ribbing are great beginner options. You are welcome to crochet as well.

Switching yarn

If you run out of yarn or you'd like to switch colors partway through your blanket, try this tutorial.

Binding off

You're all done! Here's how to finish off your blanket, and remove it from the needle. Feel free to weave in the ends of your yarn for a cleaner look.
